Le tweeter à dôme est très répandue dans les enceintes hifi et studio, il a la particularité d'une réponse pas trop directive et une réponse assez douce. Certains modèles sont équipés d'un pavillon (ou d'une amorce de pavillon) afin d'augmenter la sensibilité au détriment d'une directivité plus importante.
